The education will be interdisciplinary and jointly managed by the Institute of Medical Technology in the University of Tampere, and the Department of Information Technology in the University of Turku. Each university will accept fifteen students per year to start in the programme.
The curriculum in Bioinformatics is identical in both universities, and the courses are arranged jointly so you take the same courses and same exams whether you study in Turku or Tampere. There are only minor differences in language studies and in the availability of optional studies, and of course the city in which you live and study is different.
